A leading international company in electricity generation.
Chile Thermal Generation Operation and Maintenance Manager, Santiago Chile.
July 2020 to date
- Responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance (2600MW) according to the production plans, maximizing the operational efficiency of the assets, achieving the results safely and respecting the environment.
- Responsible for meeting the cash cost objectives and maximizing the value of our shareholders.
- Responsible for the relationship with local stakeholders in coordination with the relevant functions.
- Leading the energy transition from thermoelectric technology, promoting the operational flexibility of Gas technology and operational efficiency projects, as well as the closure of plants with coal generation.
Achievements:
- Turbine inspection at the San Isidro 1 plant, with an investment of more than 8MUSD achieving improvements in the heat rate of the plant (7%), an increase of 10MW and lower consumption of auxiliary services, with a final result of a better position on the merit of dispatching with an approximate value of a higher margin of electric energy in Enel's portfolio of 2.1MUSD by 2021.
- Final decision to exit LTSA contracts (Long term services agreement) with GE in order to improve the cash cost of the Gas units, with an estimate of value creation of more than 12% in profitability.
- Closing of operations of unit 1 of Bocamina 128MW, with a just transition approach for our workers and contractors.
- Representative of Enel at the table for the preparation of the Just transition strategy of the Ministry of Energy of Chile.
Renewable Energy Manager Peru, Lima Peru.

- Responsible for leading Enel's Renewable Energy Operations in Peru (1100MW). Incorporating and leading the best practices in operation and maintenance and maximizing the operational efficiency of the assets, achieving the results with safety and respect for the environment both in the projects in operation and in construction.
- Responsible for ensuring the return on capital investments made in renewable energies.
- Responsible for the economic and financial results of the renewable energy business line in Peru and for maximizing the value of our shareholders.
- Support business development to optimize the country's asset portfolio.

- Implementation at the area level of a standard process for budget and industrial plan, as well as the presentation of the results to the CEO of the Group, identifying the business variables of each country.
