Diana's academic background includes relevant acknowledgments, including her outstanding work in Electrical Engineering at Los Andes University, which was awarded with honors, a grant from the Carolina Foundation in Madrid (Spain), Specialist in Economics degree with honors from the Pontifical Xavierian University and Cum Laude in Management MBA and Executive Master in Administration and Management Skills from EADA CENTRUM Pontifical Catholic University of Perú.
Diana began her career in the Enel Group Colombia companies 14 years ago, occupying the position of Commercial Coordinator at Enel - Emgesa, position in which she had the opportunity to get to know the organization very closely. In 2006, she was transferred to the Regulation area, and after 2 years the company promoted her to Head of Regulation for the Generation business.
In 2013, she was appointed Business Development Manager for Colombia, where she was in charge of directing the development of the strategy that governs the Group's energy businesses; and just one year later, she came to occupy her current position in the Enel Group Colombia companies, taking on the challenge of leading the company's internal relations strategy, and leading the development of the environmental regulation and regulatory risk analysis, among others.
Her excellent management has led her to be named one of the most influential under 35 women in the electricity sector by the Women for Colombia Foundation, and a speaker at the Women's Business Forum for the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 editions.
Additionally, in 2015, Diana Marcela was appointed President of the National Operation Council, a private organization whose main function is to agree on the technical aspects to ensure that the operation of the National Interconnected System is safe, reliable and economical. In the same year, she was elected Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Generators (ACOLGEN), a trade association that promotes free and healthy competition and the development of the Colombian electricity sector market, specifically in the area of generation, through the formulation of policies and sector regulation.
