“The importance and benefits of mass electric transportation in a city like Bogota are a priority for our company and we are providing all our support and experience to make it a reality and continue to build a sustainable city”

OPENING THE FUTURE OF CITIES TO CLEAN ENERGY

As a company we have been involved in the field of sustainable mobility since 2011, developing projects both public and private.

Internally we give our workers access to electric mobility, through programs like E-Bike to Work, in which they can ride electric bicycles from home to the office and vice versa. We purchased electric vehicles to incorporate in our daily operation fleet, and installed the first charging stations in the company’s headquarters. Additionally, we implemented the ECO-Car project, to facilitate access to the acquisition of electric vehicles, so that our employees can become ambassadors for electric mobility in the city.

Externally, in 2014, in a joint effort with the Office of the Mayor of Bogota and the private sector, we implemented the first electric vehicle pilot program in the city and the largest in Latin America, putting 45 vehicles on the roads and installing 5 charging stations.

With regard to private vehicles, we have 120 electric vehicle charging points installed in the country, and a fast charge station at Unicentro Shopping Mall in Bogota. In this period we have recorded 34,000 charges made on electric taxis and private vehicles, and more than 28,000 charge hours.

These actions are part of our commitment as a company to enable electric mobility in the country to contribute to the environment, preserve natural resources, and move towards the construction of smart cities.
