Class 1 Projects: CREG 075 of 2021 Guide

In accordance with Article 2 of CREG Resolution 075 of 2021, Class 1 projects are those involving the connection of end users to the National Transmission System (STN) or Regional Transmission System (STR), as well as generation, cogeneration, or self-generation connection projects to the National Interconnected System (SIN), other than projects falling within the scope of CREG Resolution 030 of 2018, or any regulation that amends, supplements, or replaces it. Modifications requested to already assigned capacities shall also be considered Class 1 projects.

Pursuant to CREG Resolution 075 of 2021, we make available the Guide for Class 1 Project Connection Requests, which you may consult here; here you will find:

1. The procedure for requesting substation visits to prepare the physical space availability study, in accordance with Article 6 of CREG Resolution 075 of 2021.
2. The procedure and channels for executing the connection agreement once transportation capacity has been allocated by UPME.
3. The procedure for submitting a connection request once the project is ready for commissioning, in compliance with the deadlines established by CREG, UPME, and XM, in accordance with CNO Agreement 1612 or any regulation that replaces, amends, or substitutes it.
