Francesco Bertoli: Is a Mechanical Engineer with a specialism in energy. He achieved the highest academic accolade, "Cum Laude", from the University Degli Studi of Brescia in Brescia, Italy. Holds an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) from the LUISS Business School in Rome, Italy. He began his career as Project Manager for Quality and Lean Manufacturing in Thermal and Renewable Generation, and subsequently assumed the role of Head of Wind, Hydro, Thermal and Thermal Generation Planning and Performance Management for Enel Produzione, Generation Business Line. In this business line, he has held a number of positions in various gas and coal-fired power generation facilities. He has been responsible for the management of CCGT/Oil & Gas generation power plants in Italy and Belgium (11 generation units, approximately 18 GW of net installed capacity and 950 people).
He held the position of Global Head of Human Resources and Thermal Generation Organization, where he oversaw the management of global human resources for 101 power generation facilities in 12 countries (a workforce of 9,200 people) in Europe and South America. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Global Head of Grid Development, where he was responsible for the allocation and management of investment capital for the development and operations of the electricity grid in the Infrastructure and Grids Business Line, encompassing eight countries in Europe and South America. He currently serves as General Manager of Enel Colombia and Central America.
