What are billing periods?

Billing periods refer to the dates that make up a customer’s consumption period and on which the energy tariff charge is applied.

How many days are billed?

The meter reading process is carried out physically in your neighborhood during business days, which may vary from one month to another. A standard billing period ranges between 27 and 33 days. At the end of the year, the total number of billed days will add up to 365 days, and 366 days in leap years.

How can I review the billed period?

On your bill, you can check the number of billed days and compare it with information from previous bills to determine whether any increase is due to a higher number of billed days. You can also review your consumption history for the last six months, the average consumption for recent periods, your current consumption, the applicable energy tariff, your consumption in kWh, and the amount billed in pesos for the recorded consumption.

What determines the length of a billing cycle and how does it affect the bill amount?

Billing periods normally range from 27 to 33 days. However, due to holidays or force majeure circumstances, these periods may vary, and the bill amount may change. This does not necessarily mean there has been an increase or decrease in your daily energy consumption.
